Advanced Placement Coursework
-
We hope that your/your student’s Advanced Placement (AP) coursework has been both challenging and rewarding. WISD believes in the importance of taking the AP Exams related to your/your student’s AP classes. By taking an AP course and scoring successfully a 3 or better on the related AP Exam, students demonstrate their mastery of rigorous college-level coursework and can earn college-level credit at many colleges and universities.
Please email Mrs. Foley with questions regarding the WHS AP examinations.
AP Exams

WHS AP Exams allow students taking a new fall semester AP course, a full-year AP course, or a spring semester course the opportunity to register for their AP Exam.

AP Exam registration is a two-step process, utilizing two different websites.
STEP 1: Total Registration Website
- Begin the AP Exam registration process online. We understand that parents may want to register their students for AP Exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present to ensure that the correct AP Exams are ordered.
- To complete this portion of the registration process, students must answer all of the required questions.
- Waxahachie High School is excited to offer families the convenience of paying AP Exam fees online at the time of registration. Paying online is a great way to make sure that payment has been completed and to avoid the uncertainty of mailing the payment and hoping it is processed before the payment deadline. Please have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration.
- This portion of the registration process is not complete until students have printed the PDF of the confirmation page that is provided at the end of the Total Registration process.
- After registering with Total Registration, students will be prompted to click on the College Board link to order AP Exam(s) through the College Board system. There are no additional fees; this is the required 2nd step in the AP Exam registration process.
STEP 2: College Board Website
- As mentioned above, the College Board requires students to also order their AP Exam(s) through their College Board student account. After registering with Total Registration, students will be prompted to click the College Board link to order AP Exam(s) through the College Board system. You will not incur additional fees or charges when placing this AP Exam Order on the College Board website.
