Karin Polk, M.Ed.
Karin Polk is excited to serve as the Principal of Marvin Elementary. Mrs. Polk grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. She attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in Waxahachie, Texas, and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Polk has taught 1st and 3rd grade in Pasadena ISD and Waxahachie ISD. She has previously served as the instructional coach for Clift Elementary and Felty Elementary as well as the district’s Elementary Math Curriculum Coordinator. Most recently, Mrs. Polk served as the assistant principal of Wilemon STEAM Academy and received the National Institute of STEM Education certification. Mrs. Polk is passionate about students and learning, as well as preparing our students of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. She is married to her husband, Trenton, and together they have two boys – Noah and Judah. Mrs. Polk looks forward to an amazing year at Marvin Elementary!

Michelle Bartosh, M.Ed.
Michelle Bartosh began her career in education in January 2004. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology with teaching certification from Dallas Baptist University in December 2003. In August 2018, Mrs. Bartosh received her Master's in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Having taught in multiple school districts and campuses, she has experience in various grade levels, both elementary and secondary. Her teaching career provided experience in Lewisville ISD, Duncanville ISD, and Ovilla Christian School before she began working in Waxahachie ISD at Margaret L. Felty Elementary. She served four years as a math teacher before taking the position as Assistant Principal in 2019. The 2020-2021 school year will be Mrs. Bartosh’s first at Marvin Elementary. She is excited to share her passion for education as she guides students, connects with families, and supports teachers.
