Angela Strong, M.Ed.

Angela Strong hails from Moss Point, MS, and now calls Waxahachie home. She has resided in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since 2008. She is an educational leader, instructional coach, and collaborative visionary deeply rooted in student achievement, student and staff growth, and closing academic gaps. She thrives on efficiently propelling people forward, guided by her mission of operating in the spirit of excellence. Mrs. Strong is a lifelong learner, reflective practitioner, and thoughtful creator.

With over a dozen years in education, Mrs. Strong has served as a student teacher, lead teacher, team lead, department chair, instructional coach, feedback-based mentor, assistant principal, and reading interventionist in high school and junior high capacities.

As a high school English teacher in Dallas ISD at Sunset High School, Mrs. Strong facilitated impactful instruction to achieve 100 percent passing on the 10th grade STAAR EOC, with 40 percent of students scoring Masters. As an instructional coach at Sunset, Mrs. Strong compassionately coached a team of 22 English teachers and 80 other core and elective content teachers. As a middle school assistant principal, she led the Dallas ISD Reading Department at Atwell Law Academy. At that time, Mrs. Strong collaborated with and coached teachers, empowered parents and students, and embodied the work of co-teaching and demonstrating lessons to grow the department from being the lowest-performing Reading Department in the network to become the number-one Reading Department. Although assigned to the Reading Department, Mrs. Strong worked with all contents and electives to promote shared success. As a united administrative team member at Atwell, Mrs. Strong assisted in transforming the school from an F to a B campus from Fall 2019 to Spring 2022. Many schools regressed during a worldwide pandemic and distance learning; alternatively, Atwell substantially progressed. Mrs. Strong transitioned to Waxahachie ISD at Finley Junior High as a Reading Interventionist. At Finley, Mrs. Strong guided and empowered students to achieve 83 percent growth on the Spring 2022 Reading STAAR; the district’s growth goal is 80 percent. This was a great accomplishment for the students, their families, and Mrs. Strong. She loves sharing in the joy people experience when setting and achieving goals. Mrs. Strong was also integral to Finley's data disaggregation and professional learning community processes, enhancing systems to maximize student achievement and teacher pedagogy.

Mrs. Strong is proud to advocate for students, staff, and families to promote growth as a servant leader. Veteran educator Angela Strong is the instructional leader for the campus, ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement, as well as directing and managing overall campus operations. “Mrs. Strong is a champion for student growth and a master of student data analysis,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Hollingsworth.

Balancing her educational endeavors with being a wife and mom, Mrs. Strong strives to leave a legacy of love, intrinsic motivation, and resilience for her family—Robert Sr., RJ, and Ryan.

Alicia Farmer, M.Ed.

My name is Alicia Farmer, and I am excited to join Clift Nation as the Assistant Principal. My husband and I have three children - one in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school.  Our family is sure busy with sports and music!  My husband's job has moved us around a bit, which has afforded me unique opportunities to live and teach in Arizona, Washington State, and Texas.  Our family is incredibly grateful to be setting roots and settling here in Texas for at least the next decade.

I graduated from Gonzaga University in Washington State and attended graduate school at Dallas Baptist University where I earned my Masters in Teaching. After teaching for nearly 10 years, I went back to school and earned my Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler and became a school administrator.  I have 16 years of experience in education as a teacher at the elementary school, middle school, and high school levels, as well as experience as a school administrator at the middle school and elementary levels.

I am a passionate educator, deeply committed to creating a school environment where students feel seen and heard, families feel welcomed and supported, and staff feel valued and appreciated.  I look forward to serving the Clift Community and getting to know each student and their families.
