Summer Learning Opportunities

Several summer learning opportunities are available for students.  Ms. Noonkester has been busy meeting with students individually about their future plans, and what courses they would like to take this summer and next year that will help them achieve their goals.  This information can get confusing quickly since it is both high school and college coursework.  The only thing that is mandatory to accomplish over the summer is recovering any high school credits that may have been lost during the year since the goal is to graduate on time.  Any acceleration or college courses taken in the summer are offered to help students reduce their workload during the next school year.  Please note, the counselor has already met with all students about summer enrollment for college.  Please allow students to handle this as they are college students.  Have them log into their MyNC portal for enrollment.  Ms. Noonkester provided these instructions in their meeting.

Global Campus Opportunties

• Geometry for original credit (both semesters must be taken to receive a grade)
  • Semester 1
    • June 5 - 29
    • Monday - Thursday
    • 8 am -12 pm
  • Semester 2
    • July 5 - 27
    • Monday - Thursday
    • 8 am - 12 pm
• Remediation (recovery for any core class that full credit was not received)
  • June 5 - 29
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8 am - 12 pm
• EOC retesting (recovery for any EOC that is not passing) 
  • June 20 - 23
