WHS BBQ teams advance to state

Waxahachie High School culinary art students competed in their first BBQ competition and advanced to state.  

The students competed individually and in teams at the Muenster Regional, High School BBQ competition. The teams battled 20-mile an hour winds all morning, starting with putting up their two canopies at 4:30 a.m. Midway through the morning, the wind even buckled one of the canopies. The kids worked well in their individual teams and together as a whole.
