Mr. Bridges has over fifteen years of experience in education. He served in the Technology Department at both Red Oak ISD and Lancaster ISD. He then taught at Red Oak Intermediate School before moving over to WISD as an English-Language Arts teacher at Howard Junior High. In 2019, he was named Assistant Principal at Finley Junior High where he has diligently served their campus staff and families. Ben’s ability to relate to students, gain their trust, and lead with positivity makes him the perfect choice to continue Finley’s legacy of success in WISD.

He then graduated from Lamar University with his Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2017. He is a T-TESS Certified Appraiser and has his EC-12 Principal Certification.

WISD Superintendent Becky McCutchen said, “A proud graduate of Waxahachie ISD, Mr. Bridges has dedicated many years of service to the district. Notably, he once walked the halls of the current Finley Junior High building as a student, making this appointment especially meaningful. Mr. Bridges brings continuity and stability to the campus leadership team. His commitment to fostering strong relationships and creating engaging educational experiences for students are among his many strengths. I am confident that Finley Junior High will continue to thrive under Mr. Bridges’ leadership.”

Mr. Bridges said, “I am extremely honored to continue my leadership of Finley Junior High in a new role. Finley is an incredibly special place, and the students and staff at Finley are second to none. I am looking forward to taking our campus to new heights in the coming years.”
