Waxahachie ISD Names Angela Strong Principal of Clift Elementary

Waxahachie ISD announced today that veteran educator Angela Strong has been assigned the role of principal of Clift Elementary School by Dr. Jerry D. Hollingsworth, Superintendent. In this role, Mrs. Strong will be the instructional leader for the campus, ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement, as well as directing and managing overall campus operations.

Mrs. Strong has been with Waxahachie ISD since 2022, working with students at Finley Junior High. She was recently hired as an assistant principal at Coleman Junior High before being tapped for the role of Clift principal. Mrs. Strong has been an educator since 2012, serving in roles including teacher, reading interventionist, instructional coach, and assistant principal.

“Mrs. Strong is a champion for student growth and a master of student data analysis,” said Dr. Hollingsworth. “These skills will be vital as she takes on the role of Clift principal and works with the staff to continue improving student outcomes.”

Mrs. Strong holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi Valley State University and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
