Waxahachie ISD Hires Principal for Finley Junior High School

This evening, the Waxahachie ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the hire of Whyndii Dunn as the principal of Finley Junior High School.

Mrs. Dunn is currently the administrator over high school at Cedar Hill Collegiate Academy and High School, and has extensive experience as an administrator, instructional coach, and teacher. In addition to Cedar Hill ISD, she has worked in DeSoto ISD and Dallas ISD.

“Whyndii Dunn is a strong instructional leader whose experience will enhance the great culture and learning environment already in place at Finley Junior High,” said Dr. Jerry D. Hollingsworth, Waxahachie ISD Superintendent. “We are excited to welcome her to Waxahachie ISD and look forward to seeing what she and the students and staff at Finley will accomplish.”

Mrs. Dunn holds a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. She and her husband, Elliott, have three teenage children.

“I am so excited to come to Finley and be a part of the great things they are already doing,” said Mrs. Dunn. “Waxahachie ISD’s core values really speak to me, I believe in them, and I am looking forward to working in the district.”
