Waxahachie ISD welcomes new Special Populations Director
Waxahachie ISD is excited to welcome Mandi Chapman as the new Director of Special Populations for the district. Mrs. Chapman has extensive experience in serving special populations across the state of Texas.
“Mrs. Chapman’s depth of knowledge is a huge asset to our district and our special populations families,” said Dr. Jerry Hollingsworth, Waxahachie ISD Superintendent. “We are proud to have her join our staff and look forward to the many ways she will impact our district and students.”
Most recently, Mrs. Chapman served as the Special Education Coordinator of Compliance & Assessment for Ennis ISD. She began her career as a special education teacher and diagnostician.
Mrs. Chapman holds a bachelor’s degree from McMurry University and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University. She holds certifications as a principal, educational diagnostician, school counselor, special education teacher, elementary self-contained teacher, and elementary reading teacher.
