Child Nutrition department recognized

After approximately 20 weeks of inquiries from the Texas Department of Agriculture, the Waxahachie ISD Child Nutrition Department received a “zero findings” review on two separate audits.  

The Texas Department of Agriculture presented the WISD Child Nutrition Department with a certificate of achievement at the WISD Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 14. Director of Student Nutrition Kam Bridgers accepted the certificate for her great work during the review process.  

Chief Financial Officer Ryan Kahlden explained that two types of reviews are conducted by TDA on a three-year rotation, one being a financial review and the other a programs review. Due to COVID-19, both reviews occurred at the same time.
