Waxahachie ISD Hires Denton as Wedgeworth Elementary Principal
The Waxahachie ISD Board of Trustees voted this evening to name Dr. Julianne Denton as the principal of Wedgeworth Elementary School.
Dr. Denton comes to Waxahachie ISD from Oklahoma City Public Schools, where she currently serves as a campus principal. She has also served as a teacher, professional development coordinator, and assistant principal.
“Dr. Denton has a proven track record in inspiring positive change and achieving academic excellence on campus,” said Lisa Mott, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Leadership. “She is a great fit for Wedgeworth Elementary and believe she will have an immediate positive impact on the students and staff at Wedgeworth.”
Dr. Denton holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a doctorate from Abilene Christian University.
