Dr. Jerry D. Hollingsworth Named Lone Finalist for EMS ISD Superintendent
The Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Jerry D. Hollingsworth, current Waxahachie ISD Superintendent, as their lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of EMS ISD. There is a legally-mandated 21-day waiting period in the state of Texas for this position, so the EMS ISD Trustees will not vote to officially hire Dr. Hollingsworth until early December.
“I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve in Waxahachie ISD,” said Dr. Hollingsworth. “This is a wonderful community, and I have no doubt even more great things are in store for Waxahachie ISD.”
Dr. Hollingsworth will remain in his role in Waxahachie ISD through the end of the semester. In the coming weeks, the Board of Trustees will provide more information regarding interim leadership and the district’s search for a new superintendent.
“We are grateful to Dr. Hollingsworth for his leadership over the last three years,” said Board of Trustees President Dusty Autrey. “We wish him the best of luck in his new role with Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.”
