All children have the right to learn and reach their maximum potential in an environment that is safe and free from danger. In order to maximize this learning, we believe that students need to be healthy. Good health is more than the absence of illness or disease. It is also the ability to function at an optimum level of physiological, emotional, and psychological well-being.

It is vital that we do everything possible to keep the spread of illness in our schools at a minimum.  The most important step in this process is to keep children at home when unwell.  Please keep children at home if experiencing fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, drainage or congestion, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea as these are possible symptoms of communicable illnesses.

If you have any questions about your student's health and/or attendance issues pertaining to health, please do not hesitate to contact the campus nurse or the Director of Health and Wellness.  Let's work together to keep our WISD schools as safe and healthy as possible.
