WISD Names Director of Teacher Incentive Allotment

Brittany Griffith

Waxahachie Independent School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Brittany Griffith as the district’s new Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Director. Griffith brings more than a decade of educational experience, including campus and district leadership roles, with a strong background in instructional support, program implementation, and educator development.

In her current role as Assistant Director of Special Populations for WISD, Griffith oversees specialized programs and services, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines while supporting student success across the district. Her leadership experience also includes serving as Principal of Felty Elementary School, where she led campus-wide initiatives focused on data-driven instruction, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and staff development.

Brittany’s deep understanding of instructional systems, teacher support, and student outcomes makes her an excellent fit for this role. Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our Teacher Incentive Allotment program and recognize the outstanding work of our educators. Becky McCutchen, Superintendent of Waxahachie ISD

Griffith holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She also holds principal and teaching certifications in the State of Texas.

Throughout her career, Griffith has demonstrated a commitment to fostering collaboration, supporting teacher growth, and improving student achievement. As TIA Director, she will lead the district’s efforts to expand and refine the Teacher Incentive Allotment program, ensuring that effective teaching practices are recognized and rewarded.

I am honored and excited to step into this new role. The Teacher Incentive Allotment provides a meaningful opportunity to recognize and reward effective teaching while creating pathways for educators to grow and lead. I look forward to building a program that supports, recruits, and retains high-quality teachers across our district. Ultimately, this work is about strengthening instruction in every classroom, so our students can continue to grow and succeed. Brittany Griffith

Brittany and her husband, Preston, have two children – Nolan and Riley, both students at Felty Elementary.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment program, established by the state of Texas, is designed to provide a pathway for top-performing teachers to earn additional compensation while remaining in the classroom. Waxahachie ISD remains committed to investing in its educators and creating systems that promote excellence in teaching and learning.
