The School-Based Virtual Health Program brings the expertise of Cook Children’s pediatric providers directly to students at school through secure virtual visits conducted from the nurse’s office. This convenient service allows students to be evaluated by a board-certified pediatrician or certified nurse practitioner without leaving campus. Designed to support students, families, and schools, the program helps reduce missed instructional time, limits the spread of contagious illnesses, eases stress for children, and minimizes disruptions for parents who may otherwise need to leave work for a medical appointment or urgent care visit.
