Facility Rental

All requests to use District facilities must be made in writing and submitted via the WISD Facility Usage Application Form, which requires contact details, requested dates, and specific areas. Requests will be evaluated in accordance with these guidelines, although the administration reserves the right to make exceptions to best fulfill the intent of these policies.

Any false representation by an organization or individual, misuse of District property, or violation of federal, state, or local laws—or District policies and regulations—may result in:

• Immediate termination of the contract;
• Requirement to vacate the premises at once; and/or
• Denial of future facility use requests.

The Waxahachie Independent School District permits restricted use of its facilities by external organizations and groups. Such use is not allowed if it disrupts educational programs, scheduled campus or District events, or essential facility maintenance and repair.

As a tax-supported, nonprofit entity dedicated to serving students and youth within its boundaries, WISD reserves the right to distinguish between categories of organizations—such as youth groups, community groups, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and civic groups—when determining the duration of facility use or applicable fees. Fair and equal access to District facilities will be provided to all organizations within the same category.
