Waxahachie ISD is excited to offer students the opportunity to say “Thank You” to the community that so generously supports them by encouraging participation in WISD’s Great Give Back. The mission of Great Give Back is to teach students the value of community and inspire them to lead lives of service to others. Businesses and nonprofit partners across our community may submit requests for service projects, one-day volunteer opportunities, and ongoing support throughout the year. Once approved, projects are announced to program sponsors, and students across the district may volunteer for the projects.

Celebrating Service and Connection
The Great Give Back cultivates a spirit of unity on campus and within the broader community through a rich tapestry of service-driven initiatives. As students actively participate in meaningful projects throughout the school year, they transform their appreciation for community relationships into tangible action. In doing so, The Great Give Back embodies the core values of WISD—Choices, Collaboration, Belonging, and Community—empowering students to not only express gratitude, but to live these ideals each day.
Waxahachie ISD is delighted to present students with a meaningful opportunity to express their gratitude to the community that continually supports them. Through participation in WISD’s Great Give Back initiative, students are encouraged to give back to the people and organizations who enrich their educational journey.
The Great Give Back’s core mission is to instill in students a deep appreciation for community service, teaching the importance of giving and inspiring them to become compassionate leaders who serve others throughout their lives.
Local businesses and nonprofit organizations are invited to submit requests for a variety of service projects, including one-day volunteer events and ongoing support opportunities available year-round. Once these projects are reviewed and approved, they are shared with program sponsors, and students from all schools in the district are invited to volunteer and participate.
Through this initiative, Waxahachie ISD hopes to build a strong culture of service, where students not only learn the value of community involvement but also experience the lasting impact their contributions can make.
