DEAR Day

Parents, community members, business leaders, and students are cordially invited to serve as guest readers on campuses for students ranging from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. Each spring, more than 500 participants take part in this distinguished one-day event, which promotes the importance of reading. Guest readers read simultaneously during three designated reading sessions throughout the day. Generous contributions from the community make it possible to purchase new books for classroom use during the event. We encourage you to join WISD and over 500 valued friends in March as we celebrate "Drop Everything and Read."
