“In a time when so many in the community were demonstrating sacrificial service, we were very honored to be chosen for this award,” Bousquet said. “The WISD campus nurses demonstrated skilled, professional nursing care under very difficult and uncertain circumstances. I have no doubt that each one has achieved an even higher level of proficiency due to the experience.”

graphic of the outline of 4 individuals with conversation bubbles above their heads

The WISD Board of Trustees is currently conducting a superintendent search. The district is seeking community input on the attributes and qualifications it would like to see in the next Waxahachie ISD superintendent.

You will have multiple opportunities to provide input.

The survey will be available through Sunday, June 20. WISD will host community input sessions as well, with more information available soon.

We appreciate your thoughts as the Board of Trustees works to find the perfect fit for our district.

ESSER III Stakeholder Input Survey

In March 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act, also known as the ARP Act, was signed into law, dedicating funds for K-12 schools through the Elementary and Secondary School Education Relief (ESSER) III funds. As a result, Waxahachie ISD is eligible to receive one-time federal funds through the ESSER III program to be spent prior to September 30, 2024, to address expenses and learning loss associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Waxahachie ISD is seeking input on how to utilize these funds to best meet the needs of Waxahachie ISD students and families. Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
