2020-21 Secondary District Science Fair winners announced

Advanced and gifted and talented students in sixth and seventh-grade science classes participated in the 2020-21 Secondary District Science Fair. Teachers at each junior high campus coached students along the process of the scientific method during the fall semester. Projects were turned in on Dec. 9, 2020. 

Science teachers at each campus judged the projects based on the rubric that was assigned at the beginning. The top three projects from each campus then advanced to the district level. Projects were then judged by district personnel using the same rubric used for campus judging. 

"We were extremely pleased with the quality of the projects that moved to the district level," said Secondary Science Coordinator Ronnie Hamilton. "Despite the ever-present COVID situation, the teachers and students maintained their ability to provide and create high-quality projects."
