Coach Sandy Faussett Hits 800 Career Win Milestone

Waxahachie High School head volleyball coach Sandy Faussett reached 800 career wins with a victory over Waco Midway this afternoon.

Coach Faussett is in her 19th season of coaching the Lady Indians volleyball team. Under her leadership, the varsity Lady Indians have reached 11 regional quarterfinals and achieved 14 area and 15 bi-district championships.

“Coach Faussett inspires her players to greatness, and the fact that she’s reached 800 career wins is no surprise to anyone,” said Waxahachie ISD athletic director Greg Reed. “We are proud of this accomplishment and can’t wait to cheer Coach Faussett on to many more wins this season and beyond.”

Coach Faussett has been leading teams to victory for more than 30 years, having coached at the 3A, 4A, 5A, and now 6A levels. Her teams have reached at least the area round of the UIL playoffs in all but one year of her coaching tenure in Waxahachie ISD.
