About Superintendent Jeremy K. Glenn
Jeremy K. Glenn, Ed.D. is the tenth superintendent in Waxahachie ISD’s 118-year history. Dr. Glenn brings a vast amount of educational experience to Waxahachie ISD, serving in the capacities of an English teacher and Coach (Mineola ISD); High School Principal and Assistant Superintendent (Trinity ISD); and Superintendent (Central Heights ISD) before being named as Superintendent for Waxahachie ISD in December 2013.
Glenn earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2000. In 2003, he received a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. In 2008, Dr. Glenn completed his doctoral work in Educational Leadership and earned a Doctor of Education degree from Sam Houston State University.
Under Glenn's leadership the districts and campuses he has served have earned state recognition, including recognitions from the Texas Education Agency and the Texas ACT Council.
Dr. Glenn has published articles in the International Journal of Educational Leadership Preparation and he co-authored the book Daily Devotions for Superintendents. He serves as a guest lecturer and is a member of the Institutional Review Board and the Principal Advisory Board for Stephen F. Austin State University. Glenn is married to Karisa, who is also an educator. They have four children: Katelyn, Jayce, Jayton, and Jaxon.
